Using the word “information” correctly
In English, the word “information” is used differently than in German and many German speakers make mistakes using it. Learn about using “information” correctly!

Explanation
Im Englischen gibt es keinen Plural für das Wort “information”, da es ein nicht zählbares Wort ist – Informationen werden als unbestimmbare Menge aufgefasst, so wie z.B. Mehl oder Zucker oder Luft. Nicht zählbare Dinge
- haben im Englischen keinen Plural (Beispiele 1 und 2)
- stehen entweder ohne Artikel oder mit dem bestimmten Artikel, nie mit einem unbestimmten Artikel (Beispiel 3).
Wenn man betonen möchte, dass es um eine einzelne Information geht, benutzt man im Englischen “piece of information” (also wörtlich „ein Stück Information“), siehe Beispiel 3.
